Research Interests
Prior to joining GEG, my career had been focused on developing simulation software to simulate and optimize advanced vehicle powertrains (e.g. hybrid-electric vehicles, battery-electric vehicles, fuel-cell vehicles) for everything ranging from light duty passenger vehicles to heavy duty commercial vehicles and freight rail. This has included extensive efforts to improve modeling of vehicle thermal management systems and reduce the fuel/energy consumption impacts of thermal management. Leveraging this background, I’m now interested in leading development of software to simulate and optimize usage of geothermal resources. This comprises planning software architecture, supporting domain experts in developing and integrating core capabilities, and leading development of some key engineering features needed to develop comprehensive software for techno-economic analysis of geothermal energy.
